About MATCHinform

I was reading the comments to the Friday, September 7, 2007 post What Women Want. I find it fascinating that several of the anonymous comments attempted to stereotype the MATCHinform author, namely me.

All of these presumptions made me realize that advice and commentary is only useful in context, so one should know the background of the author in order to full understand their views. While this holds true for “anonymous”, it is also valid for me, MATCHinform.

So to clear up a couple misconceptions, MATCHinform is not some egotistical, chauvinist male. In fact, MATCHinform is a collective group of individuals. Most of us currently reside in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, so a lot of the “advice” is geared toward trends in this dating pool. However, almost all of us have lived (and dated) in other locales, and we bring those experiences to the table as well.

For this point forward, we shall try not to be as anonymous and provide an identity to our views, commentary, and advice. We encourage you to do the same.
