Summer Date Ideas

Summer is almost here! The warmer weather provides ample opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, try something new, and impress your date! Consider some of the following options.

Enjoy the Weather...

Enjoy a boat ride. If you live by a river, lake, or harbor, buy tickets to an afternoon or evening boat trip and enjoy the passing scenery. Play sports. If your date is the athletic type, do something physical together like golfing, playing tennis, rollerblading, biking, or hiking. Go to a beach or boardwalk. At the beach you can play ball, surf, and build sand sculptures. If it's a first date, stick to the boardwalk and hang out at kiosks, game parlors or food joints. Take in a game. Summer has baseball and even non-sports fans find attending a game for the first time is its own kind of magic. Sharing a hot dog and listening to the roar of a crowd as you cheer on your home team reminds you why this is America’s pastime.

Try Something Unique...

Kite flying. It's a lot more fun than you may think! Horseback riding. Take a trip to the nearest horse farm. Spend the afternoon horseback riding and stopping to take in the scenery and afternoon lunch in a local inn. Pick fruits at a farm. Gather strawberries, raspberries, or apples together on a do-it-yourself farm. This is a cute and original date idea. Indoor ice skating. It’s fun to cool off in the summer; ice skating isn't just a winter activity.

Impress Your Date...

A hot air balloon or helicopter ride. The thrill and beauty of hovering in the sky is a very romantic and exciting date. Parachute or bungee jump. Take to the sky for the high of a lifetime. This cannot be a surprise date unless you are sure this is what they want. Go to a theme park. Amusement parks are a unique source of fun for adults too. When is the last time your date went on a roller coaster? Rent a Segway Scooter. Now offered in Atlanta, Chicago, New Orleans, Paris, Vienna, and Washington DC, City Segway Tours offers a complete experience: informative historical and current-day information, unique and fascinating stories, fantastic photo ops, and an opportunity to ride a very cool machine.
